logoooo so far :/
i wanna bigger cupcake, and roxys back leg is nottt right.
I guess you could say this was my First Official order of cupcakes?!
I was soooo excited yet so nervous at the same time, so I was asked to make red velvet cake for my great aunts 88th birthday party! SO for decorations I wanted to do something yummy likee….. CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES mmmmm.
They were so good, and I got great feedback as well! (from people OTHER than my immediate family) So that was a relief. :]
Hope you enjoy!
Heres my home made cupcake stand!!!
I used old cardboard boxes and measured out an 8inch, 10inch and 12 inch circles. I cut out two of each and hot glued them together to make them more sturdy. I then used some plain black cardstock and covered the circles and also added a 1 inch trim around the circles. I used some white sheer ribbon to go around the edges. For the tiered effect i just got two unopened soup cans and wrapped them in black cardstock as well. For the base to be lifted off the ground i just have been putting a large roll of ducktape underneath.
The last of the Easter cupcakes!
The first picture is of course carrot cake cupcakes and cream cheese frosting. I used toasted coconut on top followed by melted dark chocolate piped in circles to create a nest. I then piped three small birds with icing and used orange chocolate for the beaks, and black gel piping for the eyes.
Too cute to eat!
The rest of the cakepops!
Baby Chicks, Easter Eggs, and Footballs!
3. Putting up more Easter treats i forgot to mention!
Cake pops, and more Cupcakes!
For Caleb’s birthday party last weekend i made these little guys.
We went with a mexican fiesta theme and i had the idea to make little mexican men on the cupcakes!
I made chocolate and vanilla Oreo cupcakes, with just cream cheese frosting in all different bright colors. For the little Mexican men i used half of a doughnut hole as the head, a sugar cookie for the sombrero and a spice gum drop on the top. On the other cupcakes i made some chocolate cactus’s, chocolate guitars and chocolate maracas. Everyone seemed to love them at the party!
Today was my baby princess toy poodle Roxy’s birthday!
In honor of her i made these adorable owl cupcakes!
I made neon pink velvet cupcakes, cream cheese frosting, pink sprinkles of course, and for the owls i used fondant!
Today was the first time ive ever made fondant, and it was a terrible mess at first. I ended up getting all stuck to the fondant on the counter, had to call my brother to help him cut me out of the fondant and re-grease the counter and my hands and finish kneading the fondant. Anyways, i used the fondant and cut a chunk and started food coloring them for different colors for the owl.
And all the cupcakes are standing on my new homemade cupcake stand! I’ll do a DIY post on it next :]
